5 things you should expect from the new ITIL® PeopleCert web-based exams
Recently, PeopleCert changed how you take their online, proctored exams. I want you to understand what to expect when taking your next ITIL® exam. It will be different you’re your previous exams. Below are my five things to expect when taking your next ITIL® exam:
- Instead of using the Exam Shield app, you will be asked to log into your PeopleCert account, go to the Overview tab, scroll to the respective exam, and click the button to take the exam.
- The new web-based Exam Shield will check your settings for accessibility.
- You will be asked to share your screen with the proctor. There will be a small window that pops up, asking if you want to share the tab or the entire window. You will need to share the window. This will be important for the next two points.
- The proctor will ask you to search your computer’s display settings to make sure you don't have an external monitor connected.
- The proctor will ask you to look at your task manager to ensure this one tab is all that is open.
This will be a fairly large change in feel and experience from your previous ITIL® exams so understand that it will take longer from the time you log in until you can begin the exam.
Good luck with your exam. You will do great!
